Cody Regional Health has a familiar face as the new CEO.
Management company Ovation Healthcare, in partnership with Cody Regional, last week announced the appointment of Hannah McRae, the former chief financial officer, to be the new hospital leader.
“On behalf of Ovation Healthcare and our CEO, Dr. Dwayne Gunter, we’re thrilled Hannah has chosen to accept this role and serve Cody, Park County and its surrounding communities,” said Chip Holmes, executive vice president of hospital operations, in a release. “With her enthusiasm and strategic vision, she will provide outstanding leadership to Cody Regional Health.”
She replaces longtime CEO Doug McMillan, who retired last November after 17 years in Cody. McRae has been his CFO for the last five years.
Ty Nelson, chair of the CRH Board of Trustees, said he fully supports Hannah’s appointment as CEO.
“Hannah has been a part of Cody Regional Health’s executive team since 2020 and has been instrumental in effectuating financial improvements in all key areas of our health system,” he said in a release. “We are excited to have Hannah bring her vision, experience, and positive energy into the CEO position with Cody Regional Health.”
McRae brings more than 15 years of leadership experience with a broad background in finance, strategic planning, critical access and for-profit hospital operations, acute and ambulatory care business development projects. According to the release, in her tenure in Cody she has helped the hospital achieve market expansion, cost containment, improved efficiencies and significant enhancements in revenue. McRae will spearhead CRH’s operations immediately.
“I realize the immense responsibility of taking on this role, and I am privileged to work with so many employees and providers who are passionate, talented, and hardworking,” she said. “I look forward to continuing to work in Cody, Park County, and the greater Big Horn Basin.”
