Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, Aug. 16 at 10 a.m. at St. Barbara's Catholic Church in Powell for Mitchel Ray Lamb, 28, who died Monday evening, Aug. 12 in Sumner, Wash.

Father Peter Johnson will officiate at services and burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. tonight (Thursday) at St. Barbara's after visitation from 6 to 7 p.m.

He was born March 23, 1974, in Powell to Curtis and Delaine (Gilbert) Lamb. He attended Powell schools and graduated from Powell High School in 1992. He wrestled in high school and enjoyed golf and family activities.

He attended Northwest College for one year.

On Aug. 30, 1997, he married Anna Merritt in Powell. They lived in Spain, California and Washington, where he was a plumber employed by ABC Water Heater.

Survivors include his wife Anna Lamb in Virginia; his parents, Curtis and DeLaine Lamb of Powell; a sister, Monique Walls and husband Mike of Sumner, Wash.; his grandparents, Harvey and Loretta Gilbert of Powell; uncles and aunts, Jeanette and Rodger Smith and Bruce and Cynthia Lamb, all of Riverton; Diane Peterson, Dwight and Dawn Gilbert, Dorene Gilbert and Deb Karst, all of Powell; and Douglas Gilbert of Moorcroft.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Helen and Eldon Lamb; step-grandmother June Lamb; and uncle Doyle Gilbert.

Pallbearers at the funeral will be Derek Gilbert, Justin Schrage, Scott Schrage, Rusty Karst, Cody Karst and Dusty Gilbert.

Honorary pallbearers include Rodney, Kevin and Doug Smith; Mike and Steven Lamb; Claude and Dan Rivera; Travis Schrage; John Gilbert; Heidi Toyne; Pepper Gonzales; Desiree Waincot; and Lorie Kohler.

Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
