After a week of long rehearsals the children of Powell and the Missoula Children’s Theatre are teaming up to present their interpretation of “Sleeping Beauty” this Saturday.
But this isn’t just any old version of the “Sleeping Beauty” audiences already know. While many of the story’s key elements stay the same this one has a twist. “Five hundred years pass, and Sleeping Beauty wakes to find herself in a Rock ‘n Roll dream,” the synopsis on MCT’s website reads.
Alongside the main cast audiences can also expect to see the King and Queen, Fairies, the Caterpillars and other characters.
The play will have two showings Saturday, one at 3 p.m. and another at 5:30 p.m. with tickets $5 for an individual and $18 for a family of any size.
