Michaeleen (Mickey) Patricia Schneider, age 80, of Clark, Wyoming, passed away on Dec. 11, 2025. She was born on Aug. 2, 1945, in Wyandotte, Michigan, to parents Pat and Jane Flanigan. Mickey was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Mickey found joy in her Catholic faith, family and prayer life.
Mickey met her future husband, Gerald Schneider, in high school. They were married on Oct. 12, 1963, beginning a 62-year marriage. She received a scholarship to pursue her interest in nursing, but plans changed, and they eventually moved to New Mexico instead. Ultimately, they decided on Wyoming as their forever home, settling in Cody in 1965. They began their partnership on Heart Mountain. Mickey loved plowing and swathing. One of her favorite times on the ranch was calving season. Mickey and Jerry then moved to their ranch in Clark. There, they raised six children on their family cattle ranch. They enjoyed many years of hard work, cattle drives and brandings. Through their work on their ranch, they impacted the lives of many friends and family. Mickey and Jerry were awarded parents of the year by the State of Wyoming, which she was very proud of. Mickey could often be found saying the rosary in her rocking chair and dedicating time to her Lay Carmelite (3rd Order) community, The Immaculate Heart of Mary. Throughout the years, Mickey was blessed with 25 grandchildren and 27 beautiful great-grandchildren.
Mickey was preceded in death by her parents, Pat and Jane Flanigan; her grandson, Daniel George; and her sister-in-law, Janice Beaudrie. Mickey is survived by her beloved husband, Gerald Schneider, and their six children: Angela (Jerry) Woodward, Susan (Tom) George, Father Daniel Mary, Mark (Carmen) Schneider, Matt (Jenny) Schneider, and Luke (Angie) Schneider. She is also lovingly remembered by her 11 siblings: Timmy (Barb) Flanigan, Danny Flanigan, Barbara (Jack) Mascio, Sheila (Norm) Rodenkirk, Patrick (Sara Jean) Flanigan, Molly (Bill) Weickman, Kathy (Steve) Schornack, MaryJo (Dan) McIsaac, Maureen (John) Tobin, Susan (Bill) O’Mara and Kevin (Dana) Flanigan.
