(Jan. 2, 1967 - March 18, 2004) Michael Dean King, 37, died Thursday, March 18 at Powell Valley HealthCare Center due to cancer.Affectionately known as Mike and Dino, he was born Jan. 2, 1967, in Wilmar, Minn., to James M. and Lillian Rozell (Cardin) King. He moved to Wyoming in 1980.He was a self-employed carpet installer for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, ceramics and spending time with his children, family and friends.Survivors include his mother, Lillian King of Evanston; longtime girlfriend, Wanda Vanderpool and children Ryan King, Jaymie King, JeaLinda Patton, Jolene Vanderpool and Justin Vanderpool, and step-daughter Jeanna Andrews, all of Powell; brothers, Rockie King of Gillette, James H. King of Evanston, Troy King and wife Gayla of Golden, Colo.; sisters, Tonia Genereux of Denver and Margaret (Gina) Perks of Evanston.His father, James M. King, and his grandparents preceded him in death.Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be Thursday, March 25 at 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Powell.Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the children's educational fund at Sunlight Federal Credit Union in Powell. Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
