The Cody Medical Foundation’s annual Mental Health Run and Walk (formerly the Beck Lake Challenge) is scheduled 5:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
Gathering in one place and doing something to challenge ourselves as well as sharing an event with others, this event promotes understanding and acceptance of mental illness and increases mental health wellness, according to event officials.
Participants can run, walk, rollerblade, bike — however they like to participate. The 5:30 a.m. sunrise walk is free and open to all, but the main events start at 8:30 a.m. with multiple distances to cover.
There are swag bags available for the first 200 participants and breakfast will be served at the culmination of the events.
