Maxine  (Albert) Jones, 86, died Monday, June 27, 2011, in Mesa, Ariz., with her husband and son by her side.

Born in Burlington on Jan. 30, 1925, the sixth of eight children, she graduated from Burlington High School and began training in the Cadet Nurse’s Training Corp at St. Vincent’s Hospital, in Billings, where she met her future husband.

Maxine was a registered nurse in Powell during her professional career. She worked for Drs. Kattenhorn and Deiss, and at Powell Memorial Hospital. Maxine and her husband retired in the early 1980s and began pursuing a variety of interests and travel.

Maxine loved china painting, arts and crafts, travel and family. They discovered a love of warm weather and golf enjoying many years together in Arizona.

Maxine leaves behind her husband of 63 1/2 years, Oliver E.(Jerry) Jones; three children, Dianne (Jones) and Bruce Pacot, John Jones, and Jim and Jane (Johnston) Jones; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind one brother, Jack Albert, brother-in-law Bud Jones and family, sisters-in-law, Joy Haywood and LaVera Hoffman and their families.

Maxine was preceded by her brothers and sisters, Blanche House, Rodney Preator, Guy Preator, Franz Pearson, Helen Ames, and Bob Albert.
