MaryLou Tryon Bunting, 47, died unexpectedly on Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at West Park Hospital in Cody.

She was born in Buffalo on Jan. 31, 1964 to Clyde and Joyce Gibbs Tryon.

She graduated from Cody High School in 1982 and married Ed Parker. During these early years she was a carhop at Bud’s Drive-In, then worked at Little Big Man Pizza and Wea Sooper. Then she went to work for Dr. Bluher as an orthodontic technician for many years. She loved traveling all over the Basin with “Doc” and the other girls giving kids beautiful smiles. She could light up a stadium with her brilliant smile.

She then married Nick Bunting. They moved to Iowa while Nick finished college and she started her career in radio advertising.

They came home to Cody, where son Raef and daughter Raegan were born.

Then came her great love of Western memorabilia and antiques. She owned Traditions West Antique Mall and it was there that she made many wonderful friends from every corner of the world.

She ended up back in radio at The Big Horn Radio Network first in Cody and then moved with them to Sheridan. MaryLou returned home to Cody and went to work at Zapata’s. She loved working there and ran it like she owned it. She loved taking care of people. She was a great hostess and a very devoted friend. No matter where she lived, MaryLou always turned it into a home. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children.
