Marva (Marty) Dee Marcus, 45, of Lynnwood, Wash., died at home on March 30, 2011.
She was born May 27, 1965 in Basin, the daughter of Marvin Marcus and the late Dolores Marcus. She worked many years helping others less fortunate and in desperate need of assistance. Her most recent position was with the YWCA, where she touched many lives of people of whom she will be dearly missed. She made this world a better place whether by lending a hand, sharing a laugh or just knowing she was in your corner.
She is survived by her daughter, JoDee, and her son, Lukian, who meant the absolute world to her. The sun rose and set on her children.
She is also survived by her father Marvin, sister Gloria, and brothers Robert and Rick, as well as numerous other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dolores.
A service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, April 9 at 2 p.m. at Becks Funeral Home in Edmonds, Wash.
