Martha Leora Brandon died in Rexbug, Idaho, on Wednesday, March 28, 2012. She was 85.
Martha was born in New Brighton, Beaver, Pa. on Feb. 26, 1927 to Fred Forrest Smith and Hilda (Markle) Smith.
She married William H. Brandon on May 2, 1953, in Casper.
Martha worked for many years as a Medical Lab Technician in Casper.
She moved to Powell in 1973 and was active with the Powell Hospital Auxiliary Club for many years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints and also was member of the Powell BPW club, while owning and operating the Rose Haven Trailer Court for 10 years.
Martha leaves behind many friends, and will be greatly missed.
Although Martha suffered greatly from arthritis, she never let it stop her from any adventure, and never let it take away her smile.
Survivors include a sister, Helen K. Rouse; son Fred W. Brandon and daughter-in-law Michiko, who took care of her for several weeks in the Billings hospital; daughter Phyllis Koch and son-in-law Jerome, who spent countless hours at her bedside in the Rexburg care center; two grandsons. and one great-grandson.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 3, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Avenue E in Powell.
