(Sept. 8, 1921 - March 8, 2007) Margaret LaDean Broderick, of Powell died Thursday, March 8, at Powell Valley Hospital. She was 85.She was born Sept. 8, 1921, in Douglas, a daughter of Irene (Schultz) and Henry P. Heasler. She attended school in Powell, and after attending college, she found employment in California. Margaret met her husband, Robert, in Wyoming, where he was visiting relatives.Margaret and Robert Broderick were married Aug. 7, 1965 in Whiting, Ind. They began their married life in Whiting, where Robert was a school administrator and she was a homemaker. After Robert's retirement, they moved to Powell to be near extended family. Margaret's mother, Irene, owned and operated a small craft, yarn and antique shop in Powell.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 14, at Thompson Funeral Home with burial at Crown Hill Cemetery. Memorial remembrances may be sent to the Heasler Nursing Scholarship Fund, Northwest College Foundation, 231 W. 6th St., Powell.Thompson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
