Lyn Ritterbrown Goffaux peacefully passed away on Oct. 17, 2021, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on March 27, 1937, to Paul and Mary Alys (Allie) Ritterbrown in Cody.

Lyn grew up in Sunlight Basin near Cody, on Dead Indian Ranch, along with her sister “Pokey.” There she was surrounded by horses and beautiful mountains. She was a gifted rider and trainer of horses from a very early age. Her horses, especially Knoxy, were a profound influence and importance throughout her life. This gift she shared with family and many friends. Though her life took her to Utah many times, she always returned to her beloved Wyoming.

In 1976, Lyn joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in many callings in the church. She especially loved teaching the children in Primary and singing in the choir. She had a radiating testimony of Our Savior, Jesus Christ and shared it with all who she cared about.

Lyn loved life, learning, family and friends (two legged and four legged).

Lyn is survived by her children, Julie Kirschman, Celeste Rosquist (Ron), Paul Goffaux (Sherry) and Frances Burgerson (Brett), 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and her sister Nova Young “Pokey.”

She was preceded in death by her parents, two grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Services will be Friday, Oct. 22, 2021, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Seventh Street Chapel. Viewing will take place at 9 a.m., and the service will be at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Lyn’s family would like to thank all who gave the gift of care and love from Yellowstone Home Care and Stillwater Hospice, and all who have supported their family at this time.
