Lyman “Shabouk” Walsh died March 27, 2011 at Powell Valley Healthcare. He was 98.
He was born Nov. 5, 1912, in Salem, S.D.
Shabouk worked most of his life in the oilfields. He was known near and far by many oilfield hands. He also worked for the Powell school district and Superior Machine.
Shabouk’s wife, June (Goff) Walsh, preceded him in death in 1989. He also was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Shabouk is survived by his only son, Danny (Judy); grandchildren Tracy (Vicki) Walsh; Lesli Spencer; and great-grandchildren Jordan, Stevee and Alex.
Funeral services are tenatively scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Barbara’s Church in Powell. For confirmation of the service time, call Thompson Funeral Home at 754-3322.
