Lydia M. Aman, 91, died at the Powell Valley Healthcare Center on Tuesday morning, March 30.
She was born on Oct. 18, 1912, in Ellendale, N.D., to Fred and Pauline (Schumacher) Fetzer. She married Balthasar Aman on March 7, 1931 in Ipswich, S.D.
In 1956 the family moved to Powell. He preceded her in death on July 1, 1968. Cream of the Valley Dairy employed her for more than 22 years, serving in many areas of the dairy business during the processing, pasteurization and packaging of dairy products.
She loved to crochet and garden. She was a caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Two years ago she moved into the Heartland Assisted Living Complex and enjoyed her new surroundings.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Della and Clifford Reidt of Powell; six grandchildren, Richelle Fowler, Jill Barber, Craig Reidt, Linden Reidt, Fay Reidt and Craig Aman; great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Her parents, husband, sons Darvie Aman and Orlo Aman; brothers Fred Fetzer and Wilbur Fetzer and a sister, Adelia Haack, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Donald Rieman officiating. Pallbearers will be Darren Reidt, Randy Lightholt, Patrick Nicholson, Bill Christensen, Craig Aman and Dean Schumacher. Honorary pallbearers will be Craig Reidt, Linden Reidt and Fay Reidt.
Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
