Lisa Alice (Hannum) Grimsley passed away on April 5, 2025, succumbing to a long battle with multiple sclerosis.

She was the youngest child of Maurice and Catherine Hannum of Powell, Wyoming, and is survived by a sister, Terry Anderson of Mayfield, Kentucky; a brother, Garth Hannum of Kersey, Colorado; and stepchildren, Jorn Grimsley, Matt Grimsley and Shannon Smith.

Lisa graduated from Powell High School and then completed her training at West Park School of Radiologic Technology in Cody, Wyoming.  After graduating, she went to work at the Billings Clinic in Billings, Montana as a radiologic technologist and eventually began working in the MRI department until retiring in 2007.  It was there she met Patrick Francis Grimsley, and the two were married on Dec. 29, 1984 at Hope Lutheran Church in Powell.  They remained hand in hand until Pat’s death in 2016.

Lisa attended Peace Lutheran Church in Billings as long as she was able. Lisa and Pat enjoyed skiing at Red Lodge, Montana, riding on Pat’s Harley, vacationing on the beaches in Mexico and pampering their three cats, Riley, Jessie and Maxine.

Lisa’s “girls trip” to France was one of her favorites, and she talked about it for years, as was the trip to Scotland with her mom and sister to visit the family castle in Airth.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life in Red Lodge on May 24, 2025. A short service will be held in Finn Park located at the corner of 17th St. and Platt Ave., starting at 11 a.m, followed by a reception and pot luck lunch at the Red Lodge Senior Community Center at 207 Villard Ave. S starting at noon.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) or the Yellowstone Valley Animal Center.
