Linda Jo Martin passed away on March 20, 2026, at 8:24 p.m. in the Powell Hospital surrounded by her family and friends.
Linda was born on Dec. 5, 1960 in Laramie, Wyoming, to Gerald and Neva Warner. She was the third oldest of five children. She attended school in Laramie, Wyoming and Cheyenne, Wyoming schools. Linda went to High School in Torrington, Wyoming, where she had her first child. She then met Ron Lampman in Torrington, Wyoming in 1980 and soon married and had three children. In 1989 they divorced. She fell in love with Grant Martin, the love of her life. Linda and Grant got married on Oct. 1, 1991, and moved to Powell, Wyoming, where she resided with Grant until her last breath.
Linda had the love of family, friends, outdoors, just life in general. If you were fortunate to know Linda, she loved you unconditionally and helped in any way she could. She was a spitfire, who loved to speak her mind. If she had an opinion, she would gladly let you hear it. Linda was an amazing wife, mother and friend. If you had the privilege of knowing her you were lucky.
Linda’s words:
“My children were my biggest accomplishment in my life. I am so very proud of all of you and I always have been. I will always love you and be with you. Please don’t forget to love each other, you are all family and you need each other. I love you so so much never forget that. Love Mom.”
Linda is survived by her husband Grant Martin, sister Alice (Dennis) Heilbrun of Torrington, Wyoming; sister Mary Lampman of Sterling, Colorado; daughter Tami (Billy) Wood of Cody, Wyoming; son Chuck (Nicole) Lampman of Bryan, Texas; daughter Heidi Lampman (fiance Bob Hine) of Mills, Wyoming; and daughter Annie Nading (fiancé Nick Viig) of Powell, Wyoming.
Linda had eight grandkids that she loved dearly: Catie bug and J.D Zarate of Powell, Wyoming, Ivy Zarate of Casper, Wyoming, Samantha Zarate of Cody, Wyoming, Tasia Lampman of Bryan, Texas, Tori Lampman of Bryan, Texas, Elizabeth Nading (Peanut) of Powell, Wyoming, and Hunter Viig (Bimbo) of Powell, Wyoming.
She was preceded in death by her parents Gerald and Neva Warner, her first grandchild Catrenna Zarate (Catie bug), her brother Harry Warner, and her sister Hazel Kanzler.
Linda Jo Martin will be cremated at Thompson Funeral Home in Powell, Wyoming.
A Celebration of Life will be in Powell, Wyoming in July 2026.
