(March 6, 1917 - March 3, 2008) Leonard Rochlitz, father of Ken Rochlitz of Powell, died Monday, March 3 at Powell Valley Hospital three days before his 91st birthday.A long-time resident of the Cheyenne area, he had been living at the Powell Valley Care Center since late 2007. He was born March 6, 1917, in Hordville, Nebr., son of William Henry Rochlitz and Weedine (Stubbe) Rochlitz. He completed a high school education and married Viola Heidemann on April 10, 1940, at Big Springs, Nebr. Leonard ranched and farmed in southeast Wyoming for many years. He was a member of the Lutheran Church. Survivors include a son, Ken Rochlitz (Karla) of Powell; a daughter, Carol Ross (Jim) of Monument, Colo.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife; a son, Ron Rochlitz; and several brothers and sisters.Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Cheyenne. Thompson Funeral Home assisted the family.
