This year’s Lenten Concert Series will continue at noon on Wednesday, March 19 in the United Church of Powell with a performance from the Chesarek Handbell Choir. Homemade soups and breads will also be available during the event. Wednesday’s featured soups will be chicken tortilla, chicken noodle and Irish cabbage and potato. There will also be three types of bread including cheddar herb.
There is no charge for the event but donations can be given at the door. All proceeds will go to a scholarship fund for Powell’s elementary schools to use for students as needed.
