The community is invited to join American Legion Hughes-Pittinger Post 26 for a Saturday evening picnic.
“We’re just inviting everybody to come and check out the renovated hall, see some of the stuff that we’re doing now and enjoy some time with us,” said Post Commander Russell Stafford.
The local Legion’s annual picnic is set to begin at 6 p.m. at the hall, located at 143 S. Clark St. Hamburgers and hot dogs are being provided by the Powell post, with guests asked to bring a side or dessert.
Attendees will generally dine outside, though the hall will be available if needed.
