Funeral services for long-time Emblem-Burlington-Otto area resident, Laura Ann Anderson, 77, were conducted Monday, June 12 at the LDS Church in Burlington. She died Thursday, June 8 at the New Horizons Care Center in Lovell.
Laura was born Jan. 16, 1929, in McHenry, Foster County, N.D., daughter of Joseph John and Loretta (Knuth) O’Keefe. She received her schooling in Livingston, Mont.
On April 13, 1954, she was married and was sealed for time and eternity to Marvin Maurice Anderson in the Idaho Falls Temple at Idaho Falls, Idaho.
She loved raising her family and spending time with them. She enjoyed cooking and was an excellent seamstress. She crocheted afghans and loved sports of all kinds. She was a great mother and grandmother.
She was a member of the LDS Church were she worked with children in the nursery, taught primary and enjoyed spending time doing genealogy extractions.
Survivors include five children, Judy (Melvin) Fillerup of Cody, Keefe (Norma) Anderson of Emblem, Cindy (Larry) Williams of Aurora, Colo., Kent (Sue) Anderson of Greybull and Clint (Janette) Anderson of Shepherd, Mont.; 21 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Jack O’Keefe of Maplewood, Minn., Mary Tarbet of Tucson, Åriz., and Jim O’Keefe of Homedale, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Marvin, on July 6, 1999.
A memorial fund has been established at the Big Horn Federal Savings Bank, P.O. Box 471, Greybull, with proceeds to go to the New Horizons Care Center.
