(Nov. 25, 1943 - June 5, 2006) A former resident of Powell, Larry Eugene Sands, died Monday, June 5 in McComb, Ohio. He was 62.He was born Nov. 25, 1943, in McComb, Ohio, to Raymond and Racheal (Wooton) Sands. He graduated from McComb High School in 1962.He married Janice Kempher Oct. 10, 1963, in VanBuren, Ohio. At his death, he was a truck driver for Cardinal Freight Carrier. He had retired from a 30-year career as a plumber in McComb and Powell. He was an avid Nascar fan and fisherman.Survivors include his wife Janice of McComb, Ohio; two sons, Ryan Sands of Findlay, Ohio, and Aaron Sands of Powell; a brother, Jerry Sands (Carol) of Findlay, Ohio; and one grandson, Cody Sands. Graveside services will be Thursday, June 8 at McComb Union.For those who wish, memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
