After month layoff, season points chase back onThe Park County Kart Club resumed racing action on Saturday night as the club began the second half of its racing season. At least four more nights of racing are scheduled in August and September. Track officials are also trying to determine what to do regarding an early-season race date that was rained out in June. Bill Rentschler captured the checkered flag in the adult A feature race on Saturday. Nicole Timmons grabbed the ladies' feature title while Savannah Triplett cashed in for victory in the junior A race. CTS delivered the goods to win the NASKART feature event. Mike Apanashk turned in the day's fastest time trial, coming around the course in a time of 25.348 seconds, narrowly edging drivers Larry Davis and Bill Rentschler. Nicole Timmons had the only 26-second women's time trial while the fastest juniors' time came courtesy of Brianne Siebert at 27.077 seconds. Savannah Triplett also had a time in the low 27-second range as the pair blistered the competition. The next racing action for the Park County Kart Club is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 15.
