In the early morning hours of Friday, Dec. 1, Julia Beall, 95, loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend died at Powell Valley Health Care.

She was born to Eliza and John Farmer on June 26, 1911, in Byron. Her brothers and sisters who preceded her in death were Jospehine, Nellie, Jess, Blaine, Oscar and Owen. Duard is the only surviving brother.

She worked in Foe-Saunders Lumber Company and 30 years in the Frannie post office. She did sewing for people and cared for those needing help. She loved refinishing furniture, needlepoint, embroidery work and community projects.

She married Bill Beall on Aug. 4, 1928. They celebrated their 70th anniversary seven years ago. Bill died in 1999.

Julia’s children were Edna and husband Bill Graham, both of whom are deceased; Doris and husband Kent Judy; and Keith and wife Rubylee. She is also survived by four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 1 p.m. at Haskell Funeral Home in Lovell, with burial to follow in the Deaver-Frannie Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
