JoDell Gleason of Worland died Sunday, April 22, 2012, near Basin, from injuries sustained in an auto accident. She was 51.
JoDell was born on Feb. 1, 1961 in Watertown, S.D. to Milton F. and Delores L. (Kulseth) Koch. She graduated from Sturgis Brown High School in 1979. Shortly after graduating she married Rod Gleason on Aug. 22, 1979, in Sturgis.
They made their home in Sturgis until 1997. During this time JoDell worked for Fort Meade VA Hospital as a patient service assistant. During this time she also started a family raising Misty and Josh.
The family moved to Worland in 1997, where JoDell went to work at Lutheran Homes Hospital, which has since changed to Banner Health. JoDell worked in human resources, marketing, and as med staff coordinator/executive assistant for the past several years.
JoDell’s hobbies included camping, hiking with her family, and enjoying being a grandmother.
She had been the hospital board secretary for many years, and enjoyed working with the Washakie Medical Center Auxiliary.
JoDell was preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her mother Delores Koch of Sturgis, S.D.; husband Rod of Worland; brother Mike Koch of Sturgis; daughter Misty Robertson of Worland; son Josh Gleason (Sarah Mckee) of Worland and grandchildren Isabelle, Ashlie, and Jack Robertson, Ayden Adolph, Landyn and Jaxsyn Gleason.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 27 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Worland with Pastor Huston Greene officiating. Cremation has taken place.
