Jim Ladd, 90, former Powell resident, passed away on Jan. 9, 2021, in the Riverstone Hospice House in Billings, Montana.
Jim was born on March 14, 1930, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Anthony and Patricia Ladd. He attended elementary school in Billings and graduated from Worland High School in Worland, Wyoming.
On July 1, 1949, Jim married Betty Pyle at St. Patrick’s Co-Cathedral in Billings.
Jim had various occupations throughout his lifetime. After retirement, he pursued his love of buying and selling antiques until his death.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; his grandson, Mike Layne; and his parents.
Jim is survived by his four children, Cathy Smith (Bob) of Lovell, Wyoming; Cari Martin (Duane) of Billings; Debbie Thomas (Leman) of Columbia Falls, Montana; and Rob Ladd (Penny) of Gering, Nebraska; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Jim is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and John Costello of Billings; sister-in-law, Barbara Braswell, and her husband, Pat, of Baker City, Oregon.
Graveside services will be held at a later date, with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery in Powell.
