Jennifer Tippetts, executive director of the Powell Medical Foundation, will be leaving the position for a new role at Powell Valley Healthcare.
Tippetts informed the foundation’s board last week that she’s accepted the position of director of materials management at PVHC.
Tippetts had led the Powell Medical Foundation since July 2015.
“This has been an amazing journey that has allowed me to make a significant impact within the community with the direction of the Foundation Board,” she said. “I’m looking forward to continuing my journey with Powell Valley Healthcare in this new role.”
In her years as executive director of the medical foundation, she helped organize the annual Mardi Gras banquet and Heartland Golf Classic. Combined with an employee giving campaign, the foundation raised $246,384. The foundation also receives support from memorials, individual gifts, and grants.
Under Tippetts’ leadership, the foundation funded projects totaling $534,480. This includes a new ambulance, operating room surgical tables, a bus and beds for the care center, and beds for the OB and hospital.
The executive director job was posted this week.
