Jeff Bigelow, 54, died at his Cheyenne home Friday, Aprll 20.
He was born Nov. 17, 1952, in Lusk to Warren L. and Dorothy (Dottie) Bigelow.
Jeff graduated from Laramie High School in 1971. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served as a Radioman on a destroyer during the Vietnam conflict. He married his high school sweetheart, Cindy Pilnacek, in Laramie on Aug. 7, 1973.
He worked as a Union Pacific Railroad conductor for 32 years. He was a member of the United Transportation Union, BR &CF, Elks Lodge #660, and the American Legion Post 6. He coached youth soccer and baseball.
Jeff loved his family, cooking, sports and NASCAR. He also cherished hosting family gatherings.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy; daughter, Bonnie Clair and two sons, Kevin Robert and Ryan Jeffrey (Kim), all of Cheyenne; his mother, Dottie of Powell; three brothers and their wives, Jim and Becky and Jay and Debra of Cheyenne and Jerry and Robin of Encampment; his sister, Sandi Fulton and husband Phil of Powell; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
His father, Warren L. Bigelow, and his grandparents, Del and Dorcas Bigelow, and Henry and Emma Ostiguy, preceded him in death.
A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held Thursday, April 26 at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Cheyenne. Cremation has taken place.
Donations to the Disabled American Veterans or the Davis Hospice Center, Cheyenne, would be appreciated by the family.
