Jeanette ‘Jackie’ Faye Bjelkevig

Jeanette Faye Bjelkevig died Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at Spirit Mountain Hospice House in Cody from complications of cancer. She was 77.

She was a lifetime Powell resident, born Aug. 2, 1937, to Elmer I. and Lillian E. (Winkleman) Harmon. 

She attended Powell schools.

Jackie married Glenn Wheeler Feb. 3, 1955. They had two children, Debra and Ronald. They later divorced. 

She married Allan Bjelkevig Nov. 10, 1960. They had a son, Stewart. 

She enjoyed rock hunting/jewelry making, camping, traveling and going to casinos, and playing cards and games with her family and friends. 

Jackie is survived by her daughter Debra (Arbie) Ewalt of Casper; sons Ronald Wheeler of Powell and Stewart (Jana) Bjelkevig of Wheatland; grandson Dustin Ewalt of Casper and great-grandson Tanner Ewalt of Casper. Her greatest joy was her three children, two grandsons and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by both spouses, her parents, a brother LeRoy Mitchell, and an infant grandson, Casey Wheeler.

By her request, cremation has taken place and no memorial services will be held.
