(June 6, 1996 - Dec. 22, 2008)Jaymie Dean King, 12, of Powell, died Monday, Dec. 22 at the Powell Valley Hospital.He was born June 6, 1996, to Michael King and Wanda (Patton) Vanderpool in Cody. He attended schools in Powell, both at Southside Elementary and the Powell Middle School, where he was a sixth grader.Jaymie liked being with family and friends and was looking forward to being home for Christmas with his family. He enjoyed camping, fishing, skateboarding and fighting with his brothers and sisters. Jaymie was a sweet boy at heart, but had his days.He was, and always will be, loved by his family and friends.He is survived in Powell by his mother, Wanda Vanderpool; sisters, JeaLinda Patton and Jolene Vanderpool; brothers, Justin Vanderpool and Ryan King; and two nieces, Camryn and Charylett, all of Powell; grandparents, Wilma Patton, Al Vanderpool and Lillian King, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael King; grandparents, Ann Vanderpool, Wesley Patton and James King; and two uncles, Delbert and Allen Patton.A benevolence fund has been set up to help the family with funeral costs. Contributions to the King Family Benevolence Fund can be made at First National Bank and Trust or First Baptist Church.Funeral services will be Tuesday, Dec. 30 at the First Baptist Church at 2 p.m.
