(Oct. 22, 1915 - March 11, 2003) Funeral services were held Monday, March 17 at the LDS Church in Cowley for James Taggart (James T.) Frost, 87. president of Frost Construction Co. of Lovell. He died Tuesday, March 11 at Billings Deaconess Hospital from complications of pneumonia.Mr. Frost was born Oct. 22, 1915, in Cowley, the fifth of six children born to Orson Peter and Rebecca Taggart Frost. He was educated in Cowley and graduated from Cowley High School in 1934. He married Laurine Marchant on Aug. 11, 1940.He began his business life by purchasing his first truck to haul canned goods from the Big Horn Cannery at Cowley. After hauling gravel for Taggart Construction, he entered the highway construction business and began contracting in 1948 and was self-employed the rest of his life.He served on the North Big Horn County Hospital Board, Cowley Town Council and the local school board. He loved working on his lawn and flower beds and acquiring cars and antique tools. He also loved fine music and was known in the community as an excellent tenor.He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Laurine Frost; their daughter, Shelley Marie Dodson of Littleton, Colo.; three sons, James M., David M. and Tony, all of Lovell; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.Burial was in the Cowley Cemetery under the direction of Haskell Funeral Home.
