(June 29, 1957 - March 11, 2004) Memorial services were held Monday, March 15 at Moser Funeral Home in Greeley, Colo., for Jake Henry Martinez, 46, who died at his Greeley home Thursday, March 11 from liver cancer.He was born June 29, 1957, to Hank and Rose (Benavides) Martinez. He was a life-long resident of Greeley and graduated from high school there. He served in the U.S. marine Corps.Survivors include his mother, Rose, of Greeley; his father and stepmother, Hank and Connie Martinez of Powell; two daughters, Sandy Rose of Greeley and Monica Lopez of Kansas City, Kans.; a son, Johnathan Henry Martinez of Greeley; three sisters, Dorothy Ann Rice of Los Angeles, Calif., Rosalie Russell of Greeley, and Deanna Salzberg of New York, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.Military honors were presented at the services by Union Colony Marines, Greeley detachment. Cremation has taken place.
