Irma Alaniz, 72, died Dec. 29, 2009, at Powell Valley Hospital.
She was born Sept. 1, 1937, in Dilley, Texas, the daughter of Camila (Garcia) and Esteban Carrizales.
On Oct. 26, 1959, she married Octavio Alaniz in Billings.
Irma was a member of St. Barbara’s Catholic Church, and she enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, crocheting and doing crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her husband, Octavio, of Powell; daughters Susana Alaniz of Billings, Ida Bowers (Jon) of Powell and Cathy Florian (Antonio), also of Powell; brother Florenzio Carrizales (Nancy) of Riverton; sisters Eustolia Deleon (Felix), Esperanza Flores (Leo) and Fran Trevino, all of Powell; sister-in-law Grace Carrizales of Burlington; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Felix Carrizales Sr.
At her request, no funeral services are planned. Thompson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
