The Park County Ice Cats Squirt team claimed the Wyoming Amateur Hockey League B State Championship with three wins in Cheyenne, March 5 and 6.
The Ice Cats opened the tournament against the Laramie Outlaws and took a 7-2 win behind a hat trick by Rhett Pimental, one of five Powell kids on the team. Bryce Hannam of Cody contributed two goals and Jessica Shankle and Russell Keegan, both of Cody, each scored one. Another Powell player, Ryan Kolpitcke, contributed an assist, as did Shankle, Hannam and Jack Harris of Cody. Cole Crawford of Cody made five saves in goal.
