Wyoming Outdoorsmen is sponsoring two hunter education courses in the month of August.
A raditional course will be held at the Cody Regional Office of Game and Fish located at 2 Tilden Trail. This course will be held on five consecutive evenings beginning on Monday, Aug. 4 and continuing through Friday, Aug. 8. Classes begin at 5:45 p.m. and last until 8:45 p.m.
An internet completion course will be held in the Heart Mountain Hall located at the Park County Fairgrounds on Saturday, Aug. 23 beginning at 8 a.m. and lasting until 1 p.m. Students must have completed the online course prior to the class and provide a completion certificate at check-in.
These classes will include the standard Wyoming Hunter Safety Curriculum and are open to everyone. Parents of younger students are encouraged to accompany their student. The minimum recommended age is 10 years old.
To receive your “Wyoming Game and Fish Hunter Safety Certificate, attendance at ALL class sessions in the Traditional course is required and successfully passing the class exam in either class. To enroll in one of these classes, go to the Wyoming Game and Fish website at wgfd.wyo.gov/, then:
• click on “Education & Camps Button” in the top menu bar,
• click on the RED “Hunter Education” - click on the RED “Hunter Education Course”
• click on “Find a Traditional Course” or “Find an Internet Completion Course”
