(March 7, 1922 - July 2, 2001) Funeral services were Friday at Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home for Harvey Willis, Sr., 79, who died Monday, July 2 at the Powell Hospital.Mr. Willis was born March 7, 1922, in Watts, Okla., to Joseph F. and Maggie (Gravitt) Willis. He married Mary Fern Wadsworth in Kimball, Nebr., in 1942.He was a veteran of WW II, receiving the Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart in the European campaign. He owned and operated service stations in Red Lodge and Laurel, Mont. He farmed for several years in Red Lodge, Clark, Burlington and Powell, retiring in 1988. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Mary, of the family home in Powell; two daughters, Barbara Wegner and husband Dennis and Betty Skalsky and husband Alan, both of Powell; two sons, Harvey Willis Jr. of Powell and John Willis and wife Leslie of Elko, Nev.; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The family is comforted by the memory of a wonderful, father, grandfather and friend. Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery with the Powell Veterans Honor Guard providing military honors. Memorials may be made to the Rocky Mountain Cancer Treatment Center in Billings, Mont.
