The ZooMontana Board of Directors has officially appointed Jessica Hart as the permanent president and CEO. Hart, who has been with the organization since 2020 and served in an interim capacity since February 2025, provided instrumental leadership in guiding the facility through the essential, complex reaccreditation process.
“The combination of achieving AZA reaccreditation and accepting the permanent CEO role feels like the start of a dynamic new era,” Hart said. “ZooMontana has earned and sustained its place among the nation's elite animal facilities. This achievement validates the passion and hard work of every staff member and volunteer. We are perfectly poised to elevate our work and solidify our role as an essential pillar of the Billings community and the Montana landscape.”
The Board of Directors praised Hart’s vision and commitment: “Successfully navigating the reaccreditation process is the ultimate testament to Jessica's decisive leadership and the quality of her dedicated team. Naming her permanent CEO was the clear choice, and we are confident she will lead ZooMontana into a bright and sustainable future.”
