In their final outing of the year, members of the Good Old Boys golf league played a game of “Six-Six-Six.”
The four-man teams kept one net score on holes 1-6, two net scores on holes 7-12 and three net scores on holes 13-18. Taking first place with a score of 117 were Gerry Johns, Tony Waller, Mike Hernandez and Bob Parsons.
In second at 122 were Jerry Linsdau, Thom Seliga, Stephen Burtoff and Dave Frost. Ken Rochlitz, Lloyd Snyder, Dennis McCollum and Clark Jeffs followed right on their heels in third place with a score of 123.
In fourth place, with a score of 125, were Bob Mason, Buddy Rae, Ray Nelson and Howard Whitlock.
Two deuces were carded on the day, with Hernandez and Burtoff both birdieing No. 17. Hernandez posted both the low gross and low net score on the day, shooting a 79 and 63, respectively.
“A big thank you to everyone who played this year, and thanks to the staff at the golf course for putting up with the Good Old Boys; we know we can be painfully slow sometimes,” said Marc Saylor. “We had a great season and I hope to see everybody back next year.”
