Sweltering heat led to strong play on the course at the Powell Golf Club this week for the Good Old Boys, taking part in two best net balls as the game of the week.
In this game, four man teams use the two best net balls for their score.
Coming in first place with a 124 was the team of Ed Swistak, Dennis McCollum, Joe Comer and Manual Briseno.
That victory came by six strokes over the second place team of Bob Varian, Dave Frost, Steve Burtoft and Larry Hedderman.
Just one stroke behind with a 131 in third place was the team of Thom Seliga, Gerry Johns, Jim Tobin and Clark Jeffs.
Rounding out the team scores in fourth place with a 137 was the team of Paul Devoss, Tom Bibbey, Bob Mason and Ray Nelson.
Jeffs carded the only deuce of the day on hole No. 4.
The low net was a tie between Varian and McCollum with a 69. Varian had the best gross score with a 79.
