The Good Old Boys of Powell Golf Club played Chicago System this week, where a net bogey counts as one point, a par counts as two points, a birdie counts as three points and an eagle counts as four points.
First place in Tuesday’s competition went to Larry Hedderman, David Frost, Jason Quigley and Lloyd Snyder. Ray Nelson, Cas Seago, Buddy Rae and Tom Bibbey finished second. James Caffro, Bob Parsons, Steve Burtoft and Jim Tobin were the third place team.
Don Hardy, Dennis McCollum, Pete Pleban and Gerry Johns finished out of the money in fourth. Marc Saylor, Ken Rochlitz, with a blind draw of Clark Jeffs and Hardy, finished fifth. And finishing sixth were Kevin Lineback, Paul Devoss, Bob Mason and Clark Jeffs.
Only one deuce was carded — Frost had it on hole 17. Low gross went to Saylor with a 79, and the low net was a tie between Tobin and Rae at 69.
