This week, the “Good Old Boys” league at Powell Golf Club played 2-and-1. That game consists of two net scores and one gross score from the four-man teams.
Coming in first place, Thom Seliga, Gerry Johns, Buddy Rae and Clark Jeffs logged a score of 213 on Tuesday. Bob Mason, James Caffro, Mike Hernandez and Jim Tobin finished second, scoring 217.
In third, Jerry Scheafer, Bob Parsons, Bill Hendricks and John Chase scored 220. Behind them, two teams tied for fourth at 227: Larry Hedderman, Rhett Wolff, Howard Whitlock and Dave Frost; and Dennis McCollum, Jerry Lindsau, Cas Seago and Ray Nelson.
Five deuces were carded in the round: Jeffs on hole 8, Chase on hole 17 and Hendricks, Rea and Whitlock on hole 15.
Jeffs and Mason tied for the low net score at 70, and Jeffs posted the low gross at 77.
