(Jan. 14, 1934 - April 15, 2001) Gloria Christensen, 67, wife, mother and grandmother, died Easter Sunday morning, April 15 at her home in Powell after a courageous battle with multiple sclerosis.She was born Jan. 14, 1934, in Belle Fourche, S.D., to John and Hazel (Stennett) Case. She was graduated from Powell High School in 1952.On Oct. 4, 1952, she married Donald L. Christensen. They made their home on a West Willwood farm where they raised three children.Gloria worked at the Powell Hospital and Northwest Community College. She enjoyed gardening and raising beautiful flowers.Survivors include her husband Don of Powell; her children, daughter Lori Lohrenz and husband Randy of Powell, son Scott Christensen and wife Becky of Powell and daughter Jodi Byrne and husband Shawn of Billings, Mont.; a brother, John Case of Lolo, Mont.; a step-sister, Alyce Beimer of Sagamore Beach, Mass.; and five grandchildren, who were among her greatest joys, Larissa, Robbi, Jami, Chad and Erika.She was preceded in death by her parents. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Miratsky-Easton Funeral Chapel in Powell.Memorial donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated by the family.
