(May 20, 1955 - April 12, 2002) Gary Dean Menuey, 46, died Friday, April 12 at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, Mont., from complications associated with surgery.Mr. Menuey was born in Powell on May 20, 1955, son of Forest and Alice Menuey. He lived in and around Powell for most of his life.His favorite pasttime was working on his house in Lovell and working in his yard with his flowers in the summer. He took pride in his cooking as well.He worked in many restaurants and hotels around the area, including the Hamilton House, Busy Bee, Skyline Cafe, Bear Lodge and his current place of employment, the Rose Bowl in Lovell, where his sister also works.Survivors include his son, Christopher Menuey and four grandsons of Astoria, Ore.; his adopted son, Tim Ryan and wife Joby of Midwest, along with three grandchildren; his sister, Patty, in Lovell; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother in 1998 and his father in 1978 and his two brothers, Richard, in 1981 and Dave, in 1987.Cremation has taken place. Private family memorial services will be held later.
