It is with a broken heart that we share the passing of Garret Henderson, 26, of Powell, Wyoming.  Garret was born to Tye and Tammi Henderson in Powell, Wyoming, on May 23, 1999. He passed on June 18, 2025 of a severe allergic reaction and further medical complications of skin grafts and staph infection.

A truly remarkable young man whose time with us was far too brief, yet whose impact will be everlasting.

Garret's love and loyalty as a son and brother were unmatched. He carried a deep devotion to his family and was a rock to those who knew him best. He carried the values of kindness, determination, a deep sense of family and the love of the Lord that were instilled in him during his upbringing. He cherished his brother with a fierce and loyal love. He was a brother you could count on, someone who showed up with encouragement, presence and protection. Garret was a natural athlete excelling and enjoying baseball, pole vaulting, diving, snowboarding and pretty much any other sport he tried. He attended Doane University on an academic and athletic scholarship. Garret will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his kind heart, intelligent mind, his dedication to family and his love of the Lord.

We will miss his voice, his smile, his laugh, his wisdom and his unwavering heart. But we rejoice knowing that we will see him again — and when we do, it will be forever, in a kingdom that will never end. Garret is loved beyond words, missed beyond expression and honored for eternity.

Garret was preceded in death by his Grandpa and Grandma Ralph and Margo Henderson, and his Papa Steve Wilson. Garret was the beloved son of Tye and Tammi Henderson of Powell, Wyoming; brother and best friend to Wyatt Henderson of Salem, Oregon; his gramma Marie Wilson of Riverton, Wyoming; grandparents Arne and Eileen Warpness of Arvada, Colorado; his uncle Charlie Gercie and aunt Kristi of Fort Collins, Colorado; aunt Tess Miller and uncle Cordell of Bozeman, Montana; aunt Rachelle Delgado and uncle Jeff of Arvada, Colorado; and his uncle Stacey Henderson, many cousins, as well as extended family and so many close, special friends.

A celebration of Garret’s life will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 10 a.m., at New Life Church, 185 Tower Blvd., Powell, Wyoming. Interment will be at a future date at Crown Hill Cemetery in Powell, Wyoming.
