Due to the Easter holiday, free meals for local children will not be distributed on Friday or Monday, April 13.
Under the school calendar, Park County School District No. 1 is not in session on Good Friday and the Monday following Easter. Food service staff has those days off, and employees had already made plans to be with their families for the Easter holiday.
The school district is providing free breakfast and lunch meals to all local children under age 18 while school facilities are closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Meals are served from 9-11 a.m. on weekdays at Southside Elementary School. The meal service will resume at the same time, same place on Tuesday, April 14.
