As part of this year’s National Get Outdoors Day, the Shoshone National Forest will offer one night of free camping at some campgrounds Saturday, June 11.
Wapiti Ranger District campgrounds offering one-night-only free camping are Dead Indian, Crazy Creek, Eagle Creek, Elk Fork and Lake Creek.
The Newton Creek Campground is closed until further notice due to grizzly bear activity.
In the Washakie district they are Sinks Canyon and Worthen Meadow campgrounds.
In the Wind River district they are Double Cabin, Falls and Horse Creek campgrounds.
