Frankie Hildreth, 82, of Powell, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at the Wyoming Medical Center.
She was born on Sept. 18, 1927, in Oklahoma to Ethel and Oren McPhetridge.
Frankie grew up and attended school in Buttonwillow, Calif. She met and married her husband, John “Jake” Hildreth, in December 1947.
In 1949, Frankie and John moved to Powell, where they bought and developed the homestead on Heart Mountain that remains their home today. In addition to helping her husband on the farm and raising a family, Frankie enjoyed bowling, watching baseball and reading.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John; sons Barry of Denver, Colo. and Ronald of Worland; daughter Karen Elmer (Bob) of Evanston; grandson David Elmer (Wendy) and their son, Keaton, of Casper; and one sister and one brother of California.
Frankie was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.
Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
