Frances Lucille Roderick of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Powell, died Dec. 23, 2005.
She was 82.
She was born April 26, 1923, at Lindon, Colo., to Guy and Ida Richards Porter.
She attended Barnes Business College in 1941, and married Don Roderick on July 8, 1942, while he was a B-17 pilot.
The couple lived in Oklahoma and Texas while he was in the service. After World War II, they moved to Chicago, where he was a pilot for United Airlines. They moved back to Colorado where they farmed until drawing a homestead on Heart Mountain near Powell. They farmed there until retiring in 1980. After that, they spent winters in Arizona and summers in Wyoming until becoming full-time residents of Arizona in 1998.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; sister, Margaret Giancola; brother, Tom Porter; and son-in-law, Russ Wiedekamp.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Wiedekamp and Becky Rinne, and son-in-law Paul Rinne of Arizona; son and daughter-in-law Jim and Jan Roderick of California; seven grandchildren, Steve (Debi) Wiedekamp, Wendy Wiedekamp, Chris Roderick, Mike Roderick, Adam Rinne, Colin Rinne and Julie Rinne; and two great-grandchildren, Lucas and Grace Wiedekamp.
A private service has taken place.
