Lauren E. Perry, a former Northwest College faculty member, has earned a doctorate degree. Perry recently obtained her Ph.D. in English language and literature from the University of New Mexico.

Former NWC instructor earns doctorate

Lauren E. Perry, a former Northwest College faculty member, has earned a doctorate degree. Perry recently obtained her Ph.D. in English language and literature from the University of New Mexico.

Prior to moving to Albuquerque in 2015, Perry was an instructor at NWC, where she taught Intro to Literature, graphic novels and writing. Perry received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at University of Wyoming, where she received multiple awards as a student and worked as an instructor. Perry has also been the recipient of numerous academic awards, including the Russel and Dorothy S. Bilinski Fellowship, the BYU Charles Redd Fellowship and the Larry Morris Memorial Scholarship.

She is the daughter of District Court Judge John Perry of Gillette and Peggy Haney of Silver Spring, Maryland.
