The arrival of spring and warmer temperatures means it’s time to refresh your outdoor space.
From clearing debris and leaves to pruning shrubs and trees and more, Ryno’s Rental has the tools you need for all your yard projects big and small. They offer a full lineup of rental tools at affordable prices.
“On the smaller end of equipment we offer anything as far as getting your lawn ready to go for springtime,” owner Ryan Brandt said. “People are surprised by how much we have. Somebody comes by and they’ll say, ‘I didn’t know you had so much equipment, or we didn’t know you offered that.’”
On the small tool side there’s a variety available including aerators, dethatchers, sod cutters, lawn rollers and jack hammers.
“It’s kind of a broad range, we have everything from small compaction to our aerators and our power rakes and more for lawns,” Brandt said.
Removing dead grass and debris — also called dethatching — aids in nutrient absorption. An aerator alleviates compacted soil by creating deep holes. They are best used in early fall or spring to promote a healthier, thicker lawn. Lawn rollers are ideal for erasing lawn damage by moles and frost heaves or for packing down loose dirt, newly sewn seed or sod.
Then there’s fence post augers, which are tools designed to quickly dig, drill or bore holes for fence posts. Concrete tools are available as well for mixing, pouring, cutting and finishing.
You can also rent a tiller, also known as a cultivator or rotavator, which is a tool that uses a set of blades to break up soil. Tilling is one of the best ways to create healthy soil in a flower bed or garden plot, as it mixes and loosens the soil, which promotes healthy drainage and irrigation.
“We also have equipment for prepping for new landscaping with soil conditioners and landscape rakes, as well as trenchers for putting in new sprinkler systems,” Brandt said.
If you need larger tools, they have those available as well including excavators — for working on projects like foundations, planting trees and bushes or even putting in water lines — and man lifts for installing siding, helping erect buildings or even tree trimming.
“I would say the handiest thing would be our walk-behind skid steer track machines,” Brandt said. They’re called MT 100s and you get a bucket, forks, trencher, tiller, stump grinder, all sorts of attachments, but it’s small enough that people can get it through the fence in their backyards. It’s kind of a universal little machine.”
If you’re new to lawn care and all the ins and outs of taking care of a yard, Ryno’s Rental staff can help.
“We’ve got some guys that are very knowledgeable,” Brandt said. “They’ve been in the rental industry for several years and can help walk them through it. We occasionally even go look at the job site and give our best recommendation or assistance.”
Ryno’s Rental offers hourly, daily, weekly and even monthly rates. There’s also weekend specials available. The earlier you call to reserve the tools you need the better.
“Two weeks we can typically accommodate no questions asked, a week usually suffices, and even the day before, we try to make it happen the best we can,” Brandt said. “As much of a heads up as possible we appreciate, but we can usually make something happen between the two facilities and the number of pieces of equipment that we have.”
With locations in both Powell and Cody, Ryno’s Rentals can deliver “anywhere and everywhere.” In Powell you can find them at 155 S. Day St. south of East Coulter Avenue. In Cody they are located at 1923 Big Horn Ave. next to Advanced Auto Parts.
