Floyd E. Watts

Graveside funeral services will be conducted today (Thursday) at 1 p.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery for Floyd E. Watts, 79, who died Monday morning, Sept. 17 at the Powell Hospital.

Pastor Clyde Seifert of Hope Lutheran Church will officiate, with participation by the Powell Veterans Honor Guard.

Mr. Watts was born Feb. 2, 1922, in Edison, Neb., to Earl Edward and Violet Ruby (Chapman) Watts. He attended Powell schools and in 1942, he joined the U.S. Navy and served during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW.

He was a master concrete finisher and brick mason and worked in the construction industry and the oilfields all his life. He retired from Kylander Construction in 1987.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking and playing pool.

On April 6, 1991, he and Rea Skurok were married in Powell.

Survivors include his wife Rea of the family home; son Billy D. Watts and wife Sue of West Jordan, Utah; daughters, Colleen J. LeFebvre and husband Bill of Huntley, Mont., and Kimmy R. Fulton and husband Mike of Billings, Mont.; brothers, Paul Watts and wife Shirley of Mills, Neal Watts and wife Judy of Laurel, Mont., and Gerald Watts and wife Susan of Billings; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; step-children, Michael J. Skurok of Buffalo, Cheryl F. Moyers of Basin, Judy A. Solley of Buffalo and Lonna R. Mennell of Powell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Dale Watts and Jim Watts.

Pallbearers at the funeral will be Kenneth Plessinger, Taddrick Fulton, William Lynch, Doug Keene, Brad Wetch and Andy Wetch. Honorary pallbearers are Jim Thomas, Jim Howell and John Francis Kylander.

Should friends desire, memorials to the Diabetes Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday at Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home.
